About us
Our Central London RSPCA branch operates as a separate charity to the main RSPCA. The charity is led by volunteers, with permanent, temporary and volunteer staff manning the adoption centres and charity shops. While we get some help from the main RSPCA, we are responsible for raising funds to pay for the work that we do.
Each year we help over 1850 animals – including cats, dogs, rabbits, small furries and occasionally less common animals like birds, ferrets, terrapins and tortoises.
We are really proud of our achievements but we are full to bursting with desperate animals needing homes. We are especially looking for homes for adult cats who will be re-homed neutered, micro-chipped, vaccinated and treated for parasites.
Our branch supports the RSPCA mission
The RSPCA as a charity will, by all lawful means, prevent cruelty, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of all animals.
We also support all RSPCA campaigns.
Our shops
We have charity shops in Islington (N1), Finsbury Park (N4), Hackney (E5), Crouch End (N8), Stoke Newington (N16), Tottenham (N17), Palmers Green (N13), Ealing (W5) and Northfields (W13).
Help our emergency fostering unit in Finsbury Park
Our emergency fostering unit saves the lives of thousands of animals each year. It welcomes donations of food, bedding and other materials as well as donations in the form of sponsorships.
Free cat neutering
We’re part of the C4 scheme (the London Cat Care and Control Consortium) which offers free neutering for cats within the M25 area, if their owners receive certain state benefits, are on a low income or are students. The scheme also covers neutering of stray cats being temporarily fed.
For more information about free neutering in your area, please get in touch with us on 020 7272 2264 or click on the link below.
Complaints Procedure
We set ourselves a high standard of care for our customers and users of our services and if this is not met we want to hear about it.
